Use a combination of chocolate and nuts to create some wonderful flavours through these brownies
Pre-heat the oven to gas mark 4/180C
Melt the dark chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmering water.
Beat the butter and sugar together until pale and light in texture then, add one egg at a time and beat in between.
Pour in the chocolate, and beat for 30 seconds. Then sieve the flour and baking powder and fold into the mixture with chopped nuts, chocolate or chocolate sweeties reserving a small handful to sprinkle on top.
Pour the mixture into a lined baking tin (20cm x 20cm) sprinkling the remaining chopped nuts and chocolate then place into the oven to bake for 35-40 minutes (cover with foil if they start to catch on top.)
Leave the brownies to cool and cut into squares.
Serve warm with a spoonful of Rodda’s Clotted Cream and enjoy!
