Our Sustainability story

Caring enough to do the right thing...

Our roots in Cornwall give us a strong connection to the place we call home and a responsibility to help protect its future….

We recognise that the products we produce have an impact on people, the environment and the cows that provide our milk. Caring for all three is at the heart of our approach to sustainability.

The areas that guide us

Our approach to sustainability focuses on three areas: People, Environment and Animals.

Our wheel sets out where we can make a difference. By listening, sharing knowledge and working closely with the people connected to our business, we aim to better understand the challenges we face and take practical steps to improve.

It’s about protecting what makes Rodda’s special today while caring for generations to come.

People

  • Supporting our colleagues
  • Supporting our communities
  • Building lasting farmer partnerships

Environment

  • Reducing our Carbon Footprint
  • Improving our packaging
  • Reducing waste & using resources wisely

Animals

  • Caring for the cows that provide our milk
  • Supporting cow health & wellbeing
  • Working with farmers on welfare standards

We know there is always more
to learn and more to do...

By building on the relationships, care and expertise behind our products, we aim to protect what makes Rodda’s special while creating a more sustainable future for our business, the people connected to it and generations to come.

Cornwall National Landscape project

In collaboration with Cornwall National Landscape and West Country Rivers Trust.

Rodda’s is proud to announce a bespoke farm program to advise on specific issues in relation to water quality, soil erosion, runoff and other important aspects.

Made for our farmers, to help care for our Water and Environment.

Rodda's future

The Good Growth Fund will support Rodda’s plans for strategic growth and diversification of income streams through new product development.

New production facilities at the site in Scorrier are currently on-track to start operations early 2026 and will also create ten new skilled jobs.

This project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council is responsible for managing projects funded by the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly Good Growth Programme.
