Job Description

This an excellent opportunity for an experienced Q.A. Manager to join a leading premium brand. Reporting to the Technical Manager, and working closely with all departments within the business the Q A Manager will be required to effectively contribute to the company’s quality agenda.

You must possess

A minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar roleEducated to degree level
Experience of QA role at management/supervisory level
Internal auditor qualification
A thorough up to date awareness and exposure to Quality Systems and legislative compliance standards including BRC
Experience within the food industry (desireable)

The role:

Coordinate all quality activities to ensure that products are manufactured in line with agreed specifications.
Develop robust Quality KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
Manage supplier assurance and supplier audit programme to ensure all raw material and packaging specifications are met and reviewed accurately.
To ensure that the recommendation of corrective actions are in line with the quality specifications and standards.
Manage site internal audit schedule.
Assist with product specifications.
Cover for Technical Manager when off site.
Review QMS and develop to encompass retailer code of practice.
Ensure non-conformance documentation is generated investigated and closed out in a timely manner.
Maintain, monitor and trend customer complaints and all audits.
Monitor the average weight records.
Assist the Technical Manager with labelling compliance.
Carry out regular traceability exercises to ensure the priority system works, identifying errors and implement improvements.
Carry out daily organoleptic assessments and manage panel and feedback.
Coaching and mentoring to achieve ownership and pride in quality.
