Role Purpose

The Accounts Assistant- Team Leader will lead the team giving support and direction daily and assist in the provision of high quality and professional accountancy support to the Financial Controller and the Finance team. Responsible for the daily financial administration Supplier Accounts.

What are the key responsibilities?

  • Assisting with the preparation of cash flow and budget reporting
  • Managing Credit Control
  • Support Financial Controller with the Asset Registers
  • Checking coding and entered data
  • Processing supplier payments
  • Receipting customer payment
  • Bank and ledger reconciliations
  • Updating bank and cash details
  • Payroll reconciliations
  • Posting Accruals and Prepayments
  • Reconciling Credit Card statements and liaising with staff for information
  • Assisting the Financial Controller with Management Reports
  • Assisting Head of Milk Supply with milk data analysis
  • Preparing and submitting customer invoices
  • Customer account maintenance and setting up new customer accounts
  • Any other tasks deemed necessary as and when required
  • To assist in creating and reinforcing a strong customer focused, responsive flexible, “can do” culture throughout the department
  • To deal with customers and suppliers in a professional manner
  • Answering telephone/e-mail enquiries into the team.
  • To attend internal/ external meetings as appropriate.
  • To participate in the Company’s annual Personal Development Plans (PDP) and to achieve your targets / quality / standards in line with the Company’s targets.

Knowledge and skills

  • GCSE English Grade C or above
  • GCSE Math Grade C or above
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Reliable with good time management
  • IT skills Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Keen interest in a career in Accountancy
