Qulaity Assurance Manager

The role:

As QA Manager you will be a technical expert on the team and play a key role in driving the quality agenda at Rodda’s. With responsibility for leading the laboratory team and working closely with the Technical Manager and operational colleagues, you will ensure that our processes, systems and factory practices continue to produce high quality products for our customers.

Job types: Full-time, Permanent

 Salary: £30k 

The Requirements

  • Proven leadership experience in FMCG environment
  • HACCP & Food Safety certified to level 3 or above
  • Internal auditor trained to level 3 or above
  • Ideally a dairy background/knowledge
  • Microbiology and Laboratory background/knowledge
  • Good knowledge of BRC & Customer Codes of Practice
  • Team worker and influencer with strong process and systems skills
  • Experience of managing people

Financial Controller Opportunity

Location: Scorrier, Redruth

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

The Role:

This is a pivotal and senior role within the Rodda’s business, as a key leader in our Finance function and business senior management team.

The job holder will plan, direct and manage all transactional accounting functions through effective leadership and coaching of a small friendly team. Additional responsibilities include continually evaluating and improving internal accounting and control systems and processes, as well as analysing, interpreting, and communicating financial information concisely to managers to improve business decision making.

We are introducing new business systems in the forthcoming year and the job holder will be involved in systems implementation as well as other business improvement projects.

Recruitment and Retention Adviser Opportunity (fixed term 12 months)

The Role

In the role you will be a key member of the HR team and will work closely with our Operations teams to ensure we have the people resources we need and to retain our internal talent.

The job holder will be responsible for:

  • set up and maintain an effective ATS Applicant Tracker system
  • creative advertising of job vacancies with best use of social media
  • continuous improvement of recruitment processes
  • shortlisting and interviewing candidates
  • developing and updating job descriptions and writing job ad’s
  • apprenticeship development
  • work closely with managers on recruitment needs and update on progress
  • induction support

Salary: competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm (could also be a part time role)

Hygiene Team Leader Opportunity

Hygiene Team Leader Opportunity

Location: Scorrier, Redruth

Salary £10.40 per hour

Shift: Thursday, Friday and every other Wednesday, 10.00am to 10.00pm and Saturdays 9.00am to 9.00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Leading by example on detailed cleaning of equipment and environment, working in a high risk, refrigeration environment
  • Stock taking of chemicals and consumables and recoding changes on stock on the priority system.
  • Checking cleaning standards across the shift to ensure task are completed effectively.
  • Verifying that titrations are correct and that if there is an out of specification, action has been taken to rectify the issue.  
  • Leading evening cleans to ensure that things are completed correctly and in a timely manner.
  • Providing cover for the area leader in their absence ensuring that ordering is done, collections of waste are carried out and ensure that any issues are reported to the technical manager
  • Safe use of chemicals and equipment

Hours: 40 hours per week:

  • Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Wednesday, 6am to 6pm or
  • Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and every other Wednesday, 6am to 6pm
 

Full training can be provided. Applicants must be reliable, hard-working, and able to work to a high standard in terms of operating methods, hygiene and safety standards.

You must also have own transport or be able to get to Scorrier easily.
