Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We’re looking for a proven people manager to lead, performance manage and motivate our eight strong team of Shift Engineers to deliver a proactive and first class Engineering service to the business. Key responsibility will be to manage our day-to-day engineering activity using our E Maint system, co-ordinating frontline maintenance, breakdown response and supporting improvement projects. Effective team communications and an ability to continually drive the up-skilling of the team are essential.

The Engineering Team Leader will work closely with and support the Engineering Manager to promote an environment that challenges the existing process and strives for excellence through ongoing continuous improvement and flexibility.

Engineering disciplines covered include mechanical, electrical, automation including PLC programming, utilities, compressed air and water.

timer Hours: Mon - Fri flexible 7am or 8am start (42 hour week)
timer Salary: £43,000 + Benefits
timer Location: Scorrier, Redruth

Requirements

  • proven people leadership experience and a team focussed approach
  • multi skilled Engineer (apprentice served), qualified to at least level 3 or equivalent
  • track record in an Engineering fault finding role gained in an FMCG environment preferably food industry
  • appropriate C&G 2382 BS 7671:2018 18 Edition IEE regulations qualification.
  • sound knowledge of automation, PLC programming and SCADA systems, ideally Allen Bradley.
  • competent in Electromechanical & Pneumatic Systems, Electrical Panels, Industrial Wiring, Welding, Machining, Steam Boilers etc.
  • Food Safety and Health and Safety driven approach
  • must live within easy travelling distance of Redruth, Cornwall
