Royal Connections
In 1981, Rodda's were privileged to provide cream for the wedding breakfast of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Charles and the late Lady Diana Spencer. They are not the only members of the British Royal family to have enjoyed Rodda's Cream, however, as until her recent death, HRH Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother was sent a half-pound pot of Rodda's Cornish Clotted Cream by the Duke of Cornwall every week. Rodda's Cream is not only enjoyed by royalty, however, but by thousands of people across the world. Many of the world's airlines, including British Airways, provide passengers with in-flight Cornish Cream Teas, and Rodda's Cream is exported all over the world, even to Japan and Australia.
The Present and the Future
Despite the huge growth of the business since its humble beginnings in a farmhouse kitchen, Rodda's is still a traditional family business that has grown beyond the wildest thoughts and dreams of its founding parents, Ernest and Fanny. Today, thousands of people across the globe can taste and enjoy that mouth-watering treat that is the 'Cream of Cornwall'.
